bio.

I discovered yoga in 2001, and it was love at first asana. Unlike anything else, the practice just made sense to me, and it has led me to countless “Aha!” moments both on and off the mat. I always felt compelled to share the grace and light of yoga with others, and in 2011 I completed the 250 hour foundational training program at Wake Up Yoga in Philadelphia. Since then, I have completed 300 hours of advanced teacher training at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in New York City, 50 hours of alignment-focused immersion at Maha Yoga, Philadelphia with Justicia DeClue, and the 50 hour Eye of the Teacher training with Alex Auder. I am registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level.

My teaching style is a precise and alignment-focused vinyasa flow, and I seek to add levity and bits of yogic philosophy to each class. I invite students to challenge themselves and find their edge in order to dive more deeply into themselves with each practice. I tend to believe that a day is not complete without being upside down, and I incorporate opportunities for inversions into many of my classes.

I am eternally grateful to my wise and gracious teachers: Corina Benner, Victoria Ladd, Alexandra HolmesJusticia DeClue, Mary Dana Abbott, Ali Cramer, and Zhenja La Rosa; to my beloved mentor, Biz Magarity; to all of my teachers, past, present and future; and to all of their teachers and their teachers’ teachers. I am honored and humbled to be called a teacher myself.
